Dr Anne Cusack
Anne studied Science for her undergraduate degree and focused on Cancer research for her PhD. After her doctorate, Anne worked abroad for a multinational, followed by a biotech start-up to broaden her experience. Returning from the UK to start a business in 1999, Anne and her husband established Critical Healthcare. As CEO, Anne brought Critical Healthcare through many milestones: winning and retaining multiple public and private contracts, including the NHS, and Falck Europe, (the largest provider of Emergency Services globally), the design and patenting of innovative products, the creation of an own brand portfolio of medical consumables & medical devices, and the design & development of their own software procurement platform, adopted by multiple Irish & European Emergency Service providers. In 2021 Critical Healthcare was acquired and Anne is now pursuing her many other interests. In 2019, Anne was invited by the then Taoiseach, to serve as Chair of the Midlands Regional Enterprise Plan Steering Committee, 2018-2020 and again, 2020-2024. A qualified Non-Executive Director, Anne serves on a number of boards, including the Governing Body of TUS (Technological University Shannon).
